On arrival we (probably more me) were horrified to find that there was no wind in the forecast for the first four days we were here. I was going a little crazy for that four days. Then the wind made up for all that with a vengeance. Our average wind has been SUPER windy and GUSTY. The lagoon is nice and flat, and stays that way even when the wind is howling along at 40 knots. It is a bit shallow and scary for the feet, with flat reef and coral underneath, but no major punctures, abrasions, or lacerations have happened yet. I think I might be more excited to get out there than Tam is, but she has had a couple of sessions. The biggest problem she has had so far is the wind range. The range here for the last four days has been from ten knots to forty knots. I was out yesterday, and the range was twenty knots to fifty knots. It is really hard to get the motivation (or balls) up to go out in these conditions, but she has done it a few days and done really well with it.
Super tough conditions.
But, it is warm…

We were so excited to kite finally!
