Happy New Year!

Just a few weeks late…

New years here on Kwajalein is a pretty big deal. Everyone was out, and everyone was festive. Tam and I were on call on New Years eve, so we found ourselves curled up in bed by ten-thirty that night.

I would say the highlight of the night was the fireworks display.

All the rest was just people drinking to excess.

Luckily, no calls for the ER that night.

So, below here are just some videos of the fireworks display the garrison put on out in the lagoon. It was pretty spectacular. I would say it was twenty-some minutes of one of the most creative and most enjoyable displays I have seen. And then the two barges they launched them off of burned for the rest of the night. Long after everyone went home and went to bed.
